Job summary

Mitre 10 MEGA Albany is seeking an experienced leader to run the Trade operation, overseeing Trade Support, Trade Administration and floor teams across Auckland. You’ll drive exceptional customer experiences, accurate order fulfilment and strong team performance.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll partner with key stakeholders, optimise stock availability, safety and workflows, and contribute to the Albany leadership team in a fast-paced, large-format retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in trade, building supplies, construction or large-format retail.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Excellent relationship-building with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience managing operational processes, inventory and fulfilment activities.
• Hands-on leadership style; practical and active.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Confidence working with systems, reporting and performance measures.
• Experience leading Health & Safety within an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Trade team.
• Drive a strong customer experience across the Trade floor and drive-through.
• Oversee Trade Support and administration functions, ensuring efficient order management and fulfilment.
• Manage departmental performance against financial targets and key operational metrics.
• Build strong working relationships across the store leadership team and wider Riviera business.
• Work collaboratively with Trade Sales to support customer growth and retention.
• Ensure stock availability and inventory accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across systems and processes.
