Job summary

JobSpace in the Bay of Plenty is seeking a Tractor Driver for a full-time position. You will be responsible for operating tractors safely, inspecting equipment, and transporting materials across fields according to a rotating roaster. Great people skills and a positive attitude are valued.

We expect 2 years of driving experience or a Level 4+ qualification, plus a clean Class 1 license. Weekend work may be required; physical fitness and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years driving work experience or Level 4+ qualification.
• Clean Class 1 or international driver license.
• Must be physically fit.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to seasonal workloads.
• May require driving on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors safely and efficiently.
• Inspect tractors and attachments; ensure lubrication.
• Use tractors to transport materials and pull/push horticultural equipment.
• Operate tractors in fields.
• Report faults or concerns to the Manager.
• Stay alert and maintain appropriate speeds while driving.
• Follow health regulations and safety standards.
• Report machinery faults, hazards or incidents promptly to supervision.

Job description

We are Bay of Plenty based company and looking for full-time Tractor Drivers to join our team. We need someone who will be a vibrant person with great people skills with a positive approach to their work. Your Working hours will be minimum of 30 hours to maximum 45 hours from Monday – Sunday as per the roaster.

Job Description for Tractor Driver:

• Operating tractors safely and efficiently.
• Performing inspections of tractors and attachments and ensuring they are well-lubricated.
• Using tractors to transport materials and pull or push Horticultural equipment.
• Operating tractors in fields.
• Reporting any faults or concerns top the Manager.
• Remaining alert while always driving and maintaining the appropriate speed limit.
• Follow health regulations and safety standards
• Report any machinery faults, hazards or incidents promptly to supervision

Job Requirements:

• Should have 2 years of driving work experience or Level 4 or higher qualification in any stream
• Should have clean driving license Class 1 or equivalent international driver license.
• Must be physically fit.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing seasonal workloads.
• You may require driving on weekends
• A positive attitude and a great work ethic

Salary can be negotiated as per your experience level between $29 to $35 per hour.
