Job summary

Hinton Contracting Ltd is seeking an experienced Tractor Driver to join our team in Stratford, NZ. The role focuses on operating tractors and agricultural machinery with the potential advantage of a diesel mechanic background.

Immediate start available for the right candidate. Ideal applicants will have solid tractor experience, the ability to work independently, a positive can-do attitude, and a current, clean full driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with tractors, agricultural machinery or heavy diesel equipment.
• Able to operate dribble bar tractors confidently.
• Diesel mechanic/engineer background is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and agricultural machinery on contracting jobs.
• Towing equipment on public roads where required.
• Share knowledge and assist younger staff members.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in good working order.

Hinton Contracting Ltd is looking for an experienced and practical Tractor Driver to join our team.

This role is suited to someone with strong tractor driving experience who can confidently jump in and operate our dribble bar tractor. A diesel mechanic / engineering background will be a strong advantage.

We're looking for someone who

• Has solid experience with tractors, agricultural machinery or heavy diesel equipment
• Can work independently and take initiative
• Has a positive "can-do" attitude
• Is practical, reliable and hands-on
• Is willing to share their knowledge and experience with our two younger staff members
• Holds a current, clean, full driver's licence
• Is confident towing equipment on public roads

Experience with agricultural contracting and effluent systems would be an advantage.
