Job summary

New Zealand School of Tourism (Auckland CBD Campus) is seeking a Tourism Tutor to deliver high‑quality training across our Tourism courses. You will use existing curriculum and resources to provide a great student experience and help akonga progress toward their qualification.

No prior teaching experience is required; we will provide comprehensive learning and teaching tools to help you become successful in this trainer role.

Qualifications

  • Proven background in travel/tourism industry – at least 4 years’ tourism experience, including at least 2 years in supervisory role.
  • Additional experience in tourism or hospitality/retail is advantageous but not essential.
  • Diploma or degree in Tourism (or related field) advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and fostering success.
  • Teaching experience advantageous but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent training to akonga across Tourism courses.

Tourism Tutor

Location: Auckland CBD

Type: Full time | Permanent | NZST Auckland CBD Campus

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role

As a Tourism Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering excellent training to our akonga across our Tourism courses. You will be facilitating learning using existing curriculum and resources to deliver a great student experience and support them achieve their qualification. You will play a key role in helping them progress along their career path as they graduate to becoming the next generation of tourism industry professionals!

You don’t necessarily need any experience in teaching; we will provide you with comprehensive learning, and support teaching tools to become successful in your trainer role.
