Job summary

Bridge Kids in Mangere Bridge is seeking an experienced Kaiako to join our leadership team in the toddler room (18 months – 3 years). You will work with a teaching team of 5 to deliver intentional, play-based learning that supports tamariki wellbeing and belonging.

Job description

Bridge Kids is a thriving ECE centre in the lovely suburb of Mangere Bridge. Our purpose-built centre encapsulates a home-like feel and at Bridge Kids tamariki and their whānau are at the heart of everything we do.

We have a rare opportunity to join our leadership team. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Kaiako to join our toddler room, which will be joining a teaching team of 5 catering to Tamariki aged 18 months – 3 years.

We are looking for a teacher whose personal philosophy aligns with our mission of providing tamariki with intentional and play based learning opportunities so as to support and extend their development. Our aim is to create a collaborative and fun environment where both children and kaiako work cohesively together to ensure a sense of well-being and belonging.

In addition to the above, we are looking for a kaiako who has the following attributes:

  • a commitment to quality teaching,
  • a commitment to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our tamariki and their whānau,
  • proven leadership skills and the ability to lead a teaching team of 5,
  • a sound understanding of Te Whāriki and the ability to complete thorough learning assessments and lead your team in their planning,
  • a tenacity to drive a thriving and busy toddler environment.
