Job summary

Champion Kids Early Childhood Education Tasman/Nelson is seeking an Infants and Toddlers Certified Teacher for a full-time permanent position. The role runs 7:30am to 4:45pm, with staff meetings on Mondays at 4:45pm.

We are licensed for 15 infants and toddlers attending 7:45am to 4:30pm. Our Cottage kaiako practice centres on building strong, trusting relationships with tamariki and whānau, creating a secure, inclusive environment where every child feels known, valued and supported.

Qualifications

• Experienced in teaching within an ECE setting.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

We are looking for acertified teacher to join ourinfants and toddler team at Champion Kids. This is a full-time, permanent role (5 days per week) working between 7.30am to 4.45pm and staff meetings on Mondays at 4.45pm. We are licensed for 15 infants and toddlers that attend between 7.45am to 4.30pm.

In the Cottage kaiako practice a key teaching approach, building strong and trusting relationships with their key tamariki and whānau, while also working collaboratively to support and nurture all tamariki. Kaiako contribute to creating a secure, responsive and inclusive environment where every child feels known, valued and supported.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and fellow kaiako.
• Foster a warm, respectful and inclusive environment for all.
• Contribute to a learning environment that is challenging and engaging while promoting high expectations of cleanliness, health and safety.
• Design and adapt learning experiences that are responsive, culturally sustaining, and developmentally appropriate.
• Actively engage in the professional growth cycle process.

• Previous teaching experience within an ECE setting
