We have a great opportunity for a capable and organised Project Coordinator – Engineering to support the delivery of vessel and engineering projects across the business.


This role is a key support position for our Marine Engineering functions, helping to keep project activity on track through effective coordination, administration, purchasing support, documentation, cost tracking and communication with internal and external stakeholders.


About The Role

Reporting to the Commercial and Finance Manager – Operations, you will support the planning, coordination and administration of capital engineering projects for our vessels. You will work closely with project managers, the marine engineering team, vessel teams, purchasing, finance, contractors and service providers to ensure project information, parts, documentation and costs are managed accurately and efficiently.


Your Responsibilities Will Include


  • Supporting the preparation of project proposals, budgets, cashflows and schedules

  • Coordinating project meetings, minutes and follow-up actions

  • Tracking project progress, budgets, work hours and expenditure

  • Coordinating purchasing activity, including purchase orders, parts sourcing, delivery timeframes, pricing and supplier invoice resolution

  • Maintaining accurate project records and close-out documentation

  • Supporting business case preparation and compiling parts lists where required

  • Building strong working relationships with engineering, vessel, purchasing, finance, H\&S, contractors and service providers

  • Supporting Sealord’s commitment to high standards of health, safety, quality and compliance


Please note that this role requires travel to support vessel and engineering project activity across Sealord’s operations.

You will be a practical, organised and detail-focused person who enjoys keeping things moving and supporting others to deliver results. You’ll be confident working across multiple priorities, communicating with a range of people, and following through to make sure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Experience supporting project managers, working in a marine or engineering environment, or using Microsoft Project would be advantageous, but is not essential.
