Job summary

Cullinane College is seeking a dynamic Food Technology educator to lead the programme for Years 9–13, including NCEA Levels 1–3 assessment, and to teach Year 7–8 food tech in our Catholic intermediate schools. The role requires strong curriculum design, resource management, and a commitment to our school’s Special Character and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching NCEA Food Technology and/or Hospitality.
• Lead curriculum design, assessment and resource management in food tech.
• Provide Year 7-8 food technology classes for Catholic intermediate schools.
• Deliver rich, practical and engaging learning across Years 9–13 with NCEA Level 1–3 assessment.
• Uphold High health, safety and hygiene standards in kitchens.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Food Technology programme for Years 9–13.
• Oversee delivery of practical, engaging learning experiences.
• Manage assessment, resources and curriculum within food technology.
• Support student pathways into hospitality, food science and nutrition.

Cullinane College is a Year 9 to 13 State-Integrated Catholic school, seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, innovative, and forward-thinking educator to lead our Food Technology programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator with a passion for student achievement and school-wide improvement.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has the capabilities to maintain programmes and activities that reflect and support the Special Character of the school
• will oversee the delivery of rich, practical, and engaging learning experiences acrossYears 9 to 13, including NCEA Levels 1 to 3 assessment
• be competent in providing Year 7-8 food technology classes to our Catholic intermediate schools
• lead curriculum design, assessment, and resource management within the food technology area
• maintain high health, safety, and hygiene standards in commercial and teaching kitchen facilities
• support student pathways into hospitality, food science, and nutrition industries
• has proven experience teaching NCEA Food Technology and/or Hospitality.
