Job summary

Thames-Coromandel District Council in Whitianga is seeking a Water Services Field Representative to monitor three waters contracts and provide on-site engineering support. The role is predominantly field-based with opportunities to work across subdivisions and developments.

You will bring a Diploma or National Certificate in three waters, strong communication skills, and a full NZ driver’s license. The position offers a supportive team and a community-focused environment in the Coromandel.

Qualifications

• A Diploma or National Certificate qualification in the three waters area.
• Strong written and oral communication, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of any specialised three waters software applications would be an advantage.
• Full NZ driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Administers and monitors Three Waters Operations and Maintenance Contract performance.
• Provides technical expertise in three waters operations.
• Offers timely, quality advice to customers.
• Liaises with consultants and contractors.
• Manages contract administration and documentation.
• Provides engineering services for subdivisions and developments.
• Performs health and safety management.
• Ensures statutory compliance (e.g., resource consents).
• Liaises with Waikato Regional Council and Taumata Arowai.
• Role is predominantly field-based.
