Thames-Coromandel District Council is seeking a dedicated professional to administer and monitor the Three Waters Operations and Maintenance Contract from its Whitianga base, with potential work location flexibility.

Reporting to the Water Services Manager, this Whitianga-based position administers and monitors the performance of the Three Waters Operations and Maintenance Contract and other three waters services as appropriate. This is a permanent full-time role. Some work location flexibility (i.e., based outside Whitianga) may be possible.
In this role you will provide technical expertise in three waters operations, provide timely and quality advice to customers, liaise with consultants and contractors, manage appropriate contract administration, and provide engineering services for subdivisions and developments. It also includes undertaking health and safety management, ensuring statutory compliance (e.g. resource consents) and liaison with regulatory bodies such as the Waikato Regional Council and Taumata Arowai.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, pragmatic and outcome focused with exceptional people and technical skills. It is important you are a highly motivated individual as this role is predominantly a field-based role.
Must also have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
