Job summary

Waikato Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our General Radiology team in a fast-paced environment. After four weeks of training, this role will operate on a 50/50 theatre and general roster.

You will provide high-quality imaging across trauma, inpatients and outpatients, work with multidisciplinary teams and meet CPD requirements. Registration with MRTB and APC are essential; IT systems knowledge and the ability to train staff are valued.

Qualifications

• Have registration with the Medical Imaging Technologist Board of NZ (MRTB).
• Have a current Annual practising certificate (APC).
• Have clinical practise experience in general Radiography.
• Be actively involved in continuing professional development meeting all MRTB requirements.
• Have broad knowledge of Emergency, general, modality and Trauma at a tertiary level.
• Have sound knowledge in IT systems and applications.
• Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
• Have good and clear communication skills.
• Be able to work well under pressure Be passionate about theatre and mobile imaging.
• Be a team player who is comfortable to provide training to upskill colleagues and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality diagnostic imaging in a timely manner.
• Deliver safe, respectful, effective and efficient patient care and optimal service delivery.
• Uphold and meet registration and regulatory CPD requirements.
• Effectively manage daily running of theatre, including staff and equipment resources.
• Provide training and support to students and staff in theatre.
• Have good communication skills to effectively engage with multiple teams.
