Job summary

Waikato Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join the General Radiology theatre team. After four weeks of training, you will rotate 50/50 between theatre and general roster, providing imaging in trauma, inpatients, and outpatients.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and report to the Theatre MIT Unit Charge. Registrations and APC are required, with a focus on high-quality patient care and professional development.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Medical Imaging Technologist Board (MRTB).
• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Clinical practice experience in general Radiography.
• Active involvement in continuing professional development (MRTB requirements).
• Broad knowledge of Emergency, general, modality and trauma at a tertiary level.
• Sound knowledge of IT systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality diagnostic imaging in a timely manner.
• Deliver safe, respectful, effective and efficient patient care and optimal service delivery.
• Uphold and meet registration and regulatory CPD requirements.
• Effectively manage daily running of theatre, including staff and equipment resources.
• Provide training and support to students and staff in theatre.
• Maintain good communication with multiple teams.
