Fluid Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Associate for a leading New Zealand law firm with a renowned Technology and Digital practice. You will advise on technology procurement, licensing, and privacy, while supporting corporate and M&A teams on telecom transactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' PQE in technology or TMT matters.
• Strong client management and advisory capabilities.
• Experience advising on procurement, licensing, privacy and cyber.
• Familiarity with regulatory and commercial issues in the technology sector.

About the opportunity

As a Senior Associate, you will work across a broad range of TMT matters, advising both customers and suppliers. Your work will span technology procurement and development, commercial contracts, licensing, digital infrastructure, privacy and cyber, media and entertainment, marketing, and TV and film production.

You will also work closely with the Corporate and M&A team on technology and telecommunications transactions, providing specialist sector expertise. This is a varied role offering exposure to complex, high-value matters and the opportunity to work closely with sophisticated clients across the sector.

About you

Ideally, you will already be operating at Senior Associate level, or have the experience and attributes to take that next step. We are looking for a lawyer with strong existing experience in the technology sector, ideally with a minimum of 5 years' PQE and experience gained within a comparable firm or specialist team.

You will bring excellent technical and commercial skills, strong client management capabilities and a genuine interest in the evolving technology landscape. You will be commercially minded, confident working with sophisticated clients and motivated by the opportunity to work on market-leading matters at the forefront of technology and innovation.
