Job summary

Scania New Zealand is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Technician in Rotorua to perform quality diagnostics, repairs and servicing on Scania products. The role involves work on heavy vehicles, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Location: Waikato region with some travel to other workshops across New Zealand; Type: Full-time permanent; Pay: $39.00-$41.00 per hour; Minimum 42.5 hours weekly. Bring NZQF Level 4 or 3+ years experience.

Qualifications

• NZQF Level 4 qualification or 3+ years proven Heavy Vehicle Technician experience.
• Pride in quality workmanship and adherence to Scania quality standards and values.
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance, mechanical diagnostics and service of vehicles and equipment.
• Engine rebuilds and servicing.
• Promote health and safety in the workplace.

About the role

Location: Waikato, some project-based travel may be required to other workshop or training facilities across New Zealand
Type: Full-time permanent
Pay rate: $39.00 - $41.00 per hour
Minimum guaranteed hours: At least 42.5 hours weekly

Life on the tools

The role will require you to compete tasks including but not limited to

• Repair & maintenance, mechanical diagnostics and service of vehicles & equipment


• Work on all aspects of repairs & maintenance, including engine re-builds & servicing


• Committed to health & safety promoting and fostering a safe work environment

About you

You will have a relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification or have at least 3 years proven experience working as a Heavy Vehicle Technician

Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to meet the minimum English standards required
