Job summary

Scania New Zealand is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician in Rotorua. You will perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on Scania heavy vehicles, including engine rebuilds, in a dynamic workshop environment.

We value quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork. NZQA Level 4 or equivalent experience is required, with strong English communication to support customer satisfaction.

About the role

Location: Waikato, some project-based travel may be required to other workshop or training facilities across New Zealand
Type: Full-time permanent
Pay rate: $39.00 - $41.00 per hour
Minimum guaranteed hours: At least 42.5 hours weekly

Life on the tools

The role will require you to compete tasks including but not limited to

• Repair & maintenance, mechanical diagnostics and service of vehicles & equipment
• Work on all aspects of repairs & maintenance, including engine re-builds & servicing
• Committed to health & safety promoting and fostering a safe work environment

About you

You will have a relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification or have at least 3 years proven experience working as a Heavy Vehicle Technician
