Job summary
Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is seeking an experienced Electrician to step into a Technical Lead role within our Maintenance Engineering team. You will provide leadership across electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and project support for fixed and mobile plant, ensuring compliance with NZ regulations and LPC standards.
You will build capability within the Electrical Department by coaching staff, sharing knowledge, and helping develop training pathways to strengthen fault-finding,
Qualifications
- NZ Registered Electrician with current practising licence.
- Minimum five years in electrical maintenance, ideally port/industrial.
- Strong diagnostic skills across fixed/mobile plants and automation.
- Experience with maintenance planning and asset management.
- Experience documenting technical procedures and fault-finding guides.
- Ability to train and mentor Electrical Department staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve reliability, safety and performance.
- Coach and develop team capabilities in fault-finding and automation.
