Job summary

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is seeking a Programme Manager to lead a strategically significant technology programme from mobilisation to delivery and benefits realisation. You will align product, technology and business teams around clear outcomes, prioritised investments and delivery commitments.

This role requires experienced leadership in large, complex technology change, with a track record of delivering programme outcomes, and the ability to manage cross‑functional teams and external partners

Qualifications

Seasoned delivery leader with extensive experience in technology delivery.
Five+ years in programme or portfolio management and ten+ years in project management overall.

Responsibilities

Lead the programme from mobilisation through delivery, transition and benefits realisation.
Establish a clear programme roadmap, delivery approach and integrated view of outcomes, milestones and investment.
Maintain focus on business and customer outcomes, using evidence to inform decisions.
Manage risks, issues and dependencies across teams and external partners.
Provide clear reporting to steering committees and governance forums.
Collaborate with Product, Finance and Portfolio Planning to develop investment cases and secure funding.
Lead and develop a team of senior delivery leads, delivery leads and business analysts.
Create an environment of clarity, collaboration and accountability with regular feedback.
