Job summary

Bank of New Zealand is seeking an experienced Programme Manager for the Core Ledger Replacement initiative in Wellington. This fixed-term role focuses on delivering modern technology and improved customer experiences within a multi-team environment.

You will own end-to-end delivery planning, manage dependencies, and drive progress to successful project milestones through October 2028.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end technology delivery programs.
• Strong planning, risk and dependency management across multiple teams.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and maintain delivery momentum.
• Experience in banking or financial services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive integrated product solution delivery plan and track progress against delivery commitments.
• Lead delivery cadences across solution teams with clear priorities and ownership.
• Identify and resolve blockers, risks and cross-team dependencies; escalate when needed.
• Coordinate delivery across architecture, engineering, integration, data, testing and platform teams.
• Provide visibility of delivery status, milestones and critical-path risks.
