Job summary

Westpac New Zealand is seeking a senior programme finance professional to own the financial view of a major digital transformation programme. You will partner with Programme and Technology leaders to provide commercial insight and challenge to support sound investment and delivery decisions.

You’ll bring strong budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking and governance experience across complex transformation initiatives, with advanced Excel and robust finance systems knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong programme finance and commercial capability for large transformation or technology programmes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and benefits tracking.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance reporting systems.
• Relevant finance qualification; banking or financial services experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial management of a large, multi-year digital investment.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking and financial reporting.
• Track investment performance, benefits and financial outcomes.
• Translate complex programme activity into clear, actionable insights.
• Identify financial risks, cost pressures and forecast variances early.
• Support programme prioritisation and funding decisions.
• Maintain strong financial control and governance across the programme.
