Job summary

LinkPeople in South Auckland is seeking a dynamic leader to head a housing solutions team focused on people experiencing homelessness, mental health, and addiction. You will guide collaborative efforts with health and social service partners to secure safe, affordable housing options.

You will empower staff, foster strong community relationships, and champion a culture of wellbeing and recovery, while ensuring excellent service delivery across South Auckland.

Qualifications

• Must hold current registration and APC with the Occupational Therapy Board of NZ.
• Proven ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
• Experience working with housing-related support services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead a team to provide housing solutions for people experiencing homelessness, mental health and addiction in South Auckland.

Inspire and lead a team to provide housingsolutions for people experiencing homelessness,mental health and addiction in South Auckland

A people-focused role where your approachable, responsive and caring nature will shine. Work in partnership with other agencies and health and social service organisations to build strong relationships and deliver collaborative support.

You’ll lead a team supporting people with housing needs to achieve and maintain housing stability. You’ll:

• Work alongside people to identify housing needs and access housing options.
• Support people to sustain their housing and wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships across South Auckland communities.
• Coach and develop staff while creating a positive team culture where people feel valued and achievements are celebrated.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm, based in Manukau and working across South Auckland.

Ko wai koe (About you)

• Anexceptional people leader, confident communicator and relationshipbuilder
• Knowledgeof and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and working withMāori
• Provenability and experience in inspiring and leading a team effectively
• Current registration and APC with the Occupational Therapy Board of NZ
• Anunderstanding of the mental health system and sector within the Aucklandregion, including the NGO and community sector.
• Theknowledge and experience to support staff who choose to work using Te AoMaori frameworks
• Anunderstanding of and the ability to apply the principles of wellness andrecovery
• Atertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or experience in a similarrole.
• Fulldriver’s licence.
