Job summary

NZCL in Auckland is seeking an energetic Team Leader for its Residential Home to guide staff in helping clients live independently while maintaining a safe, supportive environment. You will motivate the team, oversee daily duties, and ensure high-quality person-centred care.

The role requires coordinating varied shifts across the week, fostering teamwork, and building strong connections with residents and whānau to support meaningful community participation.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience preferred or a genuine desire to develop leadership skills.
• Ability to tailor leadership approach to individual learning styles.
• Warm, calm and friendly personality with passion for supporting people to achieve positive outcomes.
• Full NZ Driver License and ability to transport passengers safely in disability vans.

We are looking for an energetic and motivated team leader for our Residential Home in Auckland. You will lead a team in supporting our clients to live as independently as possible whilst also providing a safe environment where they can develop confidence, build friendships, and interact within the community.

There will be a mixture of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts spanning across the week, so having the flexibility to support your team across a variety of shifts is a key part of this role.

ATeam Leader assists people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, as well as leading and motivating their team.Your daywill involve a range of responsibilities and could include:

• Activitiesat home and in the community that are meaningful and purposeful to the youth, including maximizing independence andinvolvingWhanau.
• Household duties including meal preparation, daily care routines, and personal cares.
• Working together with a team to implement personal support plans consistently, with effective and positive teamwork and communication.
• Providing people with a warm and nurturing environment to live in, which is inclusive of ideas and feedback so that each person is supported towards their personal goals.
