Steps to Strides Early Learning Centre Auckland invites a Certificated teacher to join our small mixed-age centre as a full-time permanent member. We prioritise responsive teaching, child-led conversations, and using resources to provoke curiosity. A teacher who can provide leadership opportunities and collaborate with families will thrive with us.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher with NZ registration.
• Experience in early learning or kōhanga reo preferred.
• Ability to engage children through conversations and curiosity.
• Strong collaboration with families and communities.

We are readvertising as we continue looking for a teacher who is keen and willing to contribute and is responsive to the children's ideas and uses conversations, resources and materials to provoke wonder, curiosity and cognitive engagement with the children. A teacher who gives the children leadership opportunities and sees their skills and abilities as opportunities to work in partnership. A teacher who can support boundaries and upholds our values of respect for people, places and things.

We have incredibly low ratios of 1:4 across the centre because we know the high-quality outcomes children receive when teachers provide quality engagement.
