Job summary

Te Wharekura o Manaia seeks an enthusiastic mathematics teacher for Years 9–13 in a level 1 Te Reo immersion kura. The appointee will join a team focused on raising student achievement across mathematics and related subjects.

The successful candidate must be a registered teacher with a current practicing certificate or be in the process of meeting these requirements. The position begins 28 January 2027 and sits within a supportive, collaborative school community.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, highly motivated and organised mathematics teacher capable of teaching Years 9-13. The ability to work in a team environment is essential. Appointee must also be committed to raising individual achievement. The applicants must be registered teachers with a current practicing certificate or in the process of meeting these requirements. Te Wharekura o Manaia is a level 1 Te Reo immersion kura.

This position qualifies for the Teacher Bonding Scheme (TBS). The eligible teacher recruited into this vacancy will receive annual payments accumulating to a maximum of $40,000 (before tax) after 5 years.

This position will commence Thursday 28 January 2027.
