Job summary

Mount Maunganui College is seeking a passionate Certificated mathematics teacher to join our dynamic Mathematics Department in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. You will teach Mathematics and Statistics to Secondary students (Years 7-15 / wharekura) and engage learners with clear explanations and supportive, relational pedagogy.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a well-resourced department, inspiring students and connecting math concepts to real-world contexts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current New Zealand Teachers Certificate.
• Ability to teach Mathematics and Statistics up to NCEA Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics and Statistics to Secondary students (Years 7-15 / wharekura).

We are seeking a dedicated mathematics teacher, preferably with an ability to teach up to and including NCEA Level 3. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to connect with our students and inspire a love of learning, and communicate in an engaging and accessible manner, while having a strong commitment to relational teaching practices and implementing the science of learning in their practice.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively as part of a supportive, well-resourced Mathematics Department.

You must already have the right to work in New Zealand and hold a current New Zealand Teachers Certificate. Applicants without this will not be considered.
