Poppies Preschool Gardiners Road in Christchurch is seeking a Teacher-in-Training to join our team on a part-time, permanent basis (FTTE up to 0.8). The role involves about 16–30 hours per week, across all three classrooms, while you study toward your early childhood qualification and gain practical experience in a supportive environment.

You will embrace play-based learning, build strong relationships with whānau, and model respectful practice with tamariki.

Teacher-in-Training

Part time, Permanent, FTTE up to: 0.8

We are looking for a teacher in training who is studying towards their early childhood qualification to work for us for approximately 16-30 hours per week, with opportunities to work with all age groups across our three classrooms.
The ideal applicant would be enthusiastic, embraces play-based learning, builds strong relationships with whānau, shares our philosophy in sustainability, and caring for our environment, conscientious, flexible, committed to providing a high-quality programme for our tamariki and would have a desire to learn and grow while role modelling respectful practice towards tamariki.
