Job summary

BestStart Oamaru Kindy is seeking a passionate teacher in training to join our caring, experienced team in Oamaru, Otago. Our small villa setting supports learning through play and a strong Enviroschool ethos, with a huge outdoor space and a warm, home-like atmosphere.

This permanent, part-time role is 12 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday from 8:30am to 3pm. You will work alongside an experienced teaching team, receive ongoing mentoring, and have the chance to develop confidence in early

• Enrolment in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor programme, or plans to enrol.
• Understanding of child-led learning.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your teaching practice.

BestStart Oamaru Kindy is looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher in training to join our experienced, close-knit team.

At our charming Oamaru villa, children aged 2 to 5 enjoy a warm, homely environment where they can feel confident, valued and supported to learn through play. With a huge outdoor space and our involvement as an Enviroschool, children have plenty of opportunities to explore, discover and develop their independence.

About the role

This is a permanent, part-time position working 12 hours per week, Monday and Tuesday from 8:30am to 3pm. You’ll work alongside an experienced teaching team who will support you as you build your skills and confidence as an ECE teacher.
