Cashmere High School in Christchurch is seeking a part-time Teacher Aide to support students with diverse physical, cognitive, and emotional needs in Te Pukenga's High and Complex Educational Needs unit. You will work one-on-one with students in both mainstream and transition programmes.

Full training and ongoing professional development are provided. Hours are 8.45am–2.45pm, Monday to Friday (27.5 hours/week), term-time only.

Job description

Cashmere High School has a fixed term part-time Teacher Aide position available in Te Pukenga our High and Complex Educational Needs unit assisting students that have a variety of physical, cognitive and emotional needs.

We are looking for applicants with experience working one on one with students with diverse learning needs both in the mainstream environment as well as in transition programmes.

This requires a high level of responsibility.

Full training will be provided, and professional development opportunities will be available to the successful applicant. This is a rewarding and challenging position joining a dedicated and experienced team of colleagues.

• The hours of work are 8.45am – 2.45pm (27.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday (5 days per week), and are term time only.
• This is a fixed term Maternity leave cover position beginning on 27th January 2027 and ending on 21st May 2027.
• Remuneration will be Grade B-C Step 6 of the Support Staff Collective agreement which is currently $30.98. A Tiaki allowance of $3.03 per hour will also be paid.
