Job summary

Cashmere High School has two fixed term part-time Teacher Aide positions in Te Pukenga, our High and Complex Educational Needs unit, supporting students with physical, cognitive and emotional needs. These roles require experience working one-on-one with diverse learners in mainstream and transition settings.

Hours are 8.45am-2.45pm, 27.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, term time only. Two fixed-term positions for 2027, 27 January 2027 to 10 December 2027, with remuneration from the Support Staff

Job description

Cashmere High School has two fixed term part-time Teacher Aide positions available in Te Pukenga, our High and Complex Educational Needs unit assisting students that have a variety of physical, cognitive and emotional needs.

We are looking for applicants with experience working one on one with students with diverse learning needs both in the mainstream environment as well as in transition programmes.

This requires a high level of responsibility.

Full training will be provided, and professional development opportunities will be available to the successful applicant. This is a rewarding and challenging position joining a dedicated and experienced team of colleagues.

• The hours of work are 8.45am-2.45pm (27.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday (5 days per week), and are term time only.
• There are 2 positions available. Both are fixed-term for the 2027 school year. 27th January 2027 to 10th December 2027.
• Remuneration will be Grade B-C Step 6 of the Support Staff Collective agreement which is currently $30.98. A Tiaki allowance of $3.03 per hour will also be paid.
