Job summary

Cashmere High School in Christchurch is seeking a casual/relief Special Education Needs teacher for our High and Complex Educational Needs unit, working with students with a range of physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.

Applicants should have experience delivering one-on-one support to diverse learners in both mainstream settings and transition programmes. Full training and ongoing professional development will be provided; a high level of responsibility is expected.

Qualifications

• New Zealand registered teacher is required.
• Experience with students with diverse learning needs is essential.
• Experience in both mainstream and transition programmes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide casual/relief teaching in the High and Complex Educational Needs unit.
• Support students one-on-one and in small groups.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to support citizenship, excellence and COVE values.
