Job summary

Job description

Our Talent Partner is heading off on maternity leave and we are looking for a fixed term Talent Partner to cover their leave for 6 months. At Green by Nature, we know that our people are our greatest asset. As Talent Partner, you’ll be the driving force behind our recruitment efforts. Ensuring we attract, engage, and hire the best talent across New Zealand, from Whangārei to Wānaka.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing approximately 30 vacancies at any given time, you’ll oversee the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from crafting compelling job ads and sourcing top talent to screening candidates, conducting pre‑employment checks, and finalising hires.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing an outstanding candidate experience, keeping applicants informed and engaged
  • Partnering with hiring managers to promptly advertise vacancies
  • Writing engaging job ads that attract the right talent
  • Actively sourcing candidates via talent pools, social media, and job boards
  • Screening applicants for specialised roles and coordinating interviews
  • Managing pre‑employment checks, including booking drug tests, conducting reference checks, and ensuring compliance requirements are met
  • Collaborating with the wider People and Organisational Development (P&OD) team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
  • Keeping recruitment materials up to date, including position descriptions and collateral
  • Training and advising hiring managers on best‑practice recruitment
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Responding to recruitment queries and calls, assisting with recruitment projects, attending career expos, and supporting other team members as needed

Please note, while this role is based in our NZ head office, you will report to the Head of Talent based in Australia. Domestic travel may also be required but on a very minimal basis.

  • Strong commitment to customer service, with the ability to foster relationships and provide effective solutions
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
  • A collaborative team player who builds trust and credibility with managers and colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Comfort with phone communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital platforms, with the ability to navigate systems quickly and efficiently
