Job summary

AECOM’s Transmission & Distribution leadership role in Wellington I Te Whanganui-a-Tara offers broad scope to guide a team of engineers, designers and delivery managers. You will shape the future work pipeline while strengthening client relationships and delivering high impact projects.

You will lead with a focus on people development, culture, and performance, balancing commercial outcomes with technical excellence and collaboration across regional and global teams.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of an established engineering or delivery team.
• Ability to coach and develop leaders in T&D design, delivery or client relations.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance client, project and financial outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience coordinating remote-based teams, including Australia, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a broad team of electrical engineers, designers and delivery managers.
• Oversee future work pipeline, client relationships and recruitment in T&D.
• Drive delivery KPIs and commercial outcomes for the NZ T&D portfolio.
• Develop and mentor talent, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Report to the NZ T&D Sector Lead from Wellington office and collaborate globally.
