Job summary

Cooney Lees Morgan is seeking an IT professional to keep our systems secure and well‑running in a busy legal firm. You will support staff, administer Microsoft 365 services, and manage endpoint devices with Intune, while balancing security, cost, and practicality.

You’ll automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell and Power Automate, evaluate new tools, and help the firm adopt AI in a controlled, value‑driven way. A collaborative, agile team will rely on your calm explanations and initiative.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in a production environment.
• Working knowledge of Entra ID and endpoint management through Intune.
• Sound Windows Server, Windows 11 and networking fundamentals.
• Practical experience of backup and restore.
• Scripting ability in PowerShell and experience with Power Automate would be a big advantage.
• Ability to adapt within an agile team due to the rapidly changing legal technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Supporting our people directly and following issues through to a proper resolution rather than a repeat fix.
• Administering our Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID.
• Managing our Windows endpoint fleet through Intune, including conditional access, compliance, configuration and application deployment.
• Looking after the infrastructure that remains including networking, firewalls, and backup in conjunction with our external providers.
• Automating manual work using PowerShell and Power Automate and improving the processes around it.
• Work with the team to find the right technology for real problems, weighing up cost, practicality, security and whether an off-the-shelf option beats something built in-house.
• Work alongside our external suppliers and contributing to the projects that move the firm forward.
• Work with the members of our wider administration team to ensure great service delivery to our internal clients.
