Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a motivated Surfacing Engineer to join the Roadmarking Team in the Nelson Region. The role blends site-based tasks with office support, focusing on planning, pricing and delivering the forward works programme.

Applicants with surfacing experience are preferred, but training will be provided. A relevant tertiary qualification helps; strong MS Office skills and a valid NZ Class 1 licence are valued. Opportunities for training and career progression are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in surfacing is advantageous but not essential as training is provided.
• Ability to work in a team environment and learn new skills.
• Commitment to high safety and quality standards.
• Strong MS Office skills are beneficial.
• Full class 1 driver licence; class 2 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support with Programme Planning and Job Management.
• Assist with Pricing, Tendering and Securing Work.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions and client specifications.
• Provide office-based support for the Department Manager and on-site tasks with roadmarking crews.
