Fulton Hogan is seeking a Contract Engineer for our Surfacing team in Auckland. You will help plan, deliver and commercially manage road surfacing projects, coordinating crews, plants and suppliers to keep work moving and deliver on time, to budget and to standard.

The role emphasizes safety, quality and environmental compliance, with opportunities to grow within an integrated infrastructure business across NZ and Australia.

Qualifications

• Requires a Civil Engineering qualification and at least 2 years' industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of roading, pavements and surfacing with coordination and contract administration skills.
• Commercial awareness including budgets, variations and translating contract requirements into actions.
• Commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards with practical problem solving.
• Class 1 Driver Licence and good communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Contract Engineer to join our Surfacing team in Auckland. You'll work alongside crews, clients and suppliers to keep surfacing programmes running smoothly, solve problems on the go, and help deliver high quality outcomes for the network.

Mō te t\u016uranga | About the role

In this role, you'll help plan, deliver and commercially manage road surfacing projects across the Chipseal network of Auckland. You'll be trusted to keep work moving, solve problems on the go, and make sure every job is delivered safely, to spec, on time and on budget.

• Manage the planning and delivery of surfacing contract of the chipseal renewals.
• Prepare programmes and coordinate crews, plant, materials, subcontractors and suppliers to keep work running smoothly.
• Monitor budgets, job costs, variations and progress reporting to support strong commercial outcomes.
• Oversee health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, making sure work is completed to specification and contract standards.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, internal teams and field crews while helping resolve site issues quickly and practically.
