Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Contract Engineer for our Surfacing team in Auckland. You will help plan, deliver and commercially manage road surfacing projects, coordinating crews, plants and suppliers to keep work moving and deliver on time, to budget and to standard.

The role emphasizes safety, quality and environmental compliance, with opportunities to grow within an integrated infrastructure business across NZ and Australia.

Qualifications

• Requires a Civil Engineering qualification and at least 2 years' industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of roading, pavements and surfacing with coordination and contract administration skills.
• Commercial awareness including budgets, variations and translating contract requirements into actions.
• Commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards with practical problem solving.
• Class 1 Driver Licence and good communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning and delivery of surfacing contract renewals.
• Prepare programmes and coordinate crews, plant, materials, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor budgets, job costs, variations and progress reporting.
• Oversee health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Build relationships with clients and teams and resolve site issues quickly.
