Job summary

NZCL is seeking a Team Leader for our Residential Houses in Rotorua. You will lead a team to help people with disabilities live as independently as possible while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

The role involves coordinating morning, afternoon, and evening shifts across the week to support residents’ goals and community engagement. We offer competitive pay per hour, opportunities for training, and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Relevant caregiving experience, including personal cares.
• Ideally leadership experience, or a genuine desire to develop your leadership expertise.
• Ability to tailor your leadership approach to meet individual learning styles.
• A warm, calm, and friendly personality with a passion for supporting people to achieve positive outcomes for themselves.
• A full NZ Driver License and ability to transport passengers confidently and safely in our disability vans.

Responsibilities

• Assists people with disabilities to live as independently as possible and leads the support team.
• Supports meaningful activities at home and in the community, maximizing independence.
• Carries out household duties including meal preparation, daily care routines, and personal cares.

We are looking for a energetic and motivated Team Leader for our Residential Houses in Rotorua. You will lead a team in supporting our people to live as independently as possible whilst also providing a safe environment where they can develop confidence, build friendships, and interact within the community.

There will be a mixture of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts spanning across the week, so having the flexibility to support your team across a variety of shifts is a key part of this role.

ATeam Leader assists people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, as well as leading and motivating their team.Your daywill involve a range of responsibilities and could include:

• Activitiesat home and in the community that are meaningful and purposeful to the people, including maximizing independence andinvolvingWhānau.
• Household duties including meal preparation, daily care routines, and personal cares.
• Working together with a team to implement personal support plans consistently, with effective and positive teamwork and communication.
• Providing people with a warm and nurturing environment to live in, which is inclusive of ideas and feedback so that each person is supported towards their personal goals.
