Job summary

HealthCare NZ in Opotiki is seeking compassionate Support Workers to help clients live independently at home and in the community, Monday to Friday with alternate weekends, 8.45am to 6.30pm, and travel as needed. You will assist clients according to care plans, with tasks such as meal preparation, personal cares, mobility and medication assistance, and community outings.

We are currently seeking candidates located Opotiki, who are available to work Monday to Friday with alternate weekends between 8.45am to 6.30pm and flexible to travel.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
