Job summary

Geneva Healthcare in Napier is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist clients with daily living and wellbeing, delivering practical and emotional support in home and community settings.

You will help with meal preparation, outings, medication support, personal care, and mobility assistance. A positive attitude and reliable transport are essential; healthcare experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with meal preparation and daily routines.

• Provide medication support as directed by caregivers or nurses.
• Assist with personal care tasks (showering, toileting, etc.).
• Support safe mobility including manual handling and hoist transfers.

What You’ll Do:

As aSupport Worker, you’ll help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives through practical and emotional support. Tasks may include:

• Meal preparation

What We’re Looking For:

• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
• Previous healthcare or caregiving experience (preferred but not essential)
• Great communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends
• Healthcare qualifications (advantageous)
• Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport (most roles)
