Job summary

Care on Call (NZ) Ltd is seeking caring, reliable caregivers to support clients across the Wairarapa, between Masterton and Featherston. You'll assist with daily living tasks, personal care, transport, and companionship in a community-focused role.

Join a supportive team, receive training, access to resources, and flexible shifts (2-5 per week, including some weekends). A Level 2 Health and Wellbeing qualification and a current NZ driver's licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• Great communication skills.
• Minimum Level 2 Health and Wellbeing qualification (or equivalent).
• Located in Wairarapa.
• Regular availability.
• Current, clean full driver’s licence.
• Previous caregiver experience.
• Legal right to work in NZ.

Job description

Care on Call is passionate about supporting people in the community and we take pride in the personalised service we deliver to clients and the staff we work with.

We have clients needing some help around their home, companionship and support with their daily activities between Masterton and Featherston.

We are looking for the cream of the crop caregivers/support workers who can empower our clients and help them achieve their goals. It would be desirable if you had previous experience working in a community, residential, aged care or rehab setting.

You will join an existing supportive and caring team who look after our clients with their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing)
• Passive exercises and stretches
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving client’s in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events

We believe in providing consistency of care and are ideally looking for people who can regularly do 2-5 shifts/week over a 7-day period, including some weekends (although not necessarily every weekend).

To match well with our clients you will need to be a special kind of person. One that has initiative, gets on well with others, is able to adapt to various situations and settings, can follow set processes and tasks, is proactive, has a ‘can do’ attitude and has great community skills.
