Job summary

Care on Call (NZ) Ltd is seeking caregivers/support workers to empower clients at home across New Zealand, including Te Awamutu. You will assist with daily tasks, companionship and support with activities. Desirable background in community, residential, aged care or rehab.

Requirements include a clean full driver’s licence, NZ work rights, Health and Wellbeing Level 2, and a proactive, reliable attitude. We offer 24/7 support from a local office in Hamilton, access to training and NZQA

Qualifications

• Clear communication and people skills.
• NZ work rights are required.
• Health and Wellbeing Level 2 is mandatory.
• Experience as caregiver/support worker with similar clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Care on Call is passionate about supporting people in the community and we take pride in the personalised service we deliver to clients and the staff we work with.

We currently provide support to clients around New Zealand in their own homes, providing companionship and support with their daily activities.

We are looking for the cream of the crop caregivers/support workers who can empower our clients and help them achieve their goals. It would be desirable if you had previous experience working in a community, residential, aged care or rehab setting.

We are pioneering a new team who would look after our clients in Te Awamutuwith their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing)
• Passive exercises and stretches
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving client’s in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events

To match well with our clients you will need to be a special kind of person. One that has initiative, gets on well with others, is able to adapt to various situations and settings, can follow set processes and tasks, is proactive, has a ‘can do’ attitude and has great community skills.

Additional requirements

• Great communication skills
• A current, clean full driver’s licence
• Minimum of Health and Wellbeing Level 2
• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients
• The legal right to work in NZ
• Energetic, initiative, and a good sense of humour
• To be reliable, punctual, honest and caring
