Job summary

Medcall Health Personnel – Te Awamutu is seeking compassionate caregivers/support workers to empower clients at home across Te Awamutu. Responsibilities include personal care, daily tasks, and facilitating social activities to help clients achieve their goals.

Ideal candidates have experience in community, residential, aged care or rehab settings, a clean full driver’s licence, and NZ-level qualifications. Expect supportive management in a role offering training resources and flexible local

Qualifications

• Great communication skills required to interact with clients and families.
• Current, clean full driver's licence is essential.
• Minimum Health and Wellbeing Level 2 certification.
• Past experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients.
• Must have legal right to work in NZ.
• Energetic, proactive and good sense of humour.
• Reliable, punctual, honest and caring disposition.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support with clients' daily activities in their own homes.
• Assist with personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing).
• Drive clients to appointments, work meetings and community/social events.
• Support clients with daily tasks, social activities and daily living responsibilities.
• Follow set processes and maintain clear, proactive communication with clients.

Medcall Health Personnel – Te Awamutu, North Island

Care on Call is passionate about supporting people in the community and we take pride in the personalised service we deliver to clients and the staff we work with. We currently provide support to clients around New Zealand in their own homes, providing companionship and support with their daily activities. We are looking for the cream of the crop caregivers/support workers who can empower our clients and help them achieve their goals. It would be desirable if you had previous experience working in a community, residential, aged care or rehab setting. We are pioneering a new team who would look after our clients in Te Awamutuwith their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing)
• Passive exercises and stretches
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving clients in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events

To match well with our clients you will need to be a special kind of person. One that has initiative, gets on well with others, is able to adapt to various situations and settings, can follow set processes and tasks, is proactive, has a 'can do' attitude and has great community skills.
