Job summary

Care on Call (NZ) Ltd in Taupo is seeking caregivers/support workers to empower clients and help them achieve goals. You will join a supportive team handling daily tasks, social activities and work commitments.

Requirements include a clean full driver’s licence, NZ work rights, Level 2 Health and Wellbeing qualification, and Weekend availability. Prior caregiving experience is valued; reliability, punctuality and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• A current, clean full driver’s licence.
• The legal right to work in NZ.
• Minimum of Level 2 Health and Wellbeing qualification (or equivalent).
• Weekend/outside school hours availability.
• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients.

Responsibilities

• Personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing).
• Passive exercises and stretches.
• House work and meal preparation.
• Driving client’s in their vehicle to appointments, work meetings and community/social events.

We are looking for caregivers/support workers who can empower our clients and help them achieve their goals. You will join an existing supportive and caring team who look after our clients with their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing)
• Passive exercises and stretches
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving client’s in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events

Additional requirements

• A current, clean full driver’s licence
• The legal right to work in NZ
• Minimum of Level 2 Health and Wellbeing qualification (or equivalent)
• Weekend/outside school hours availability
• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients
• Energetic, initiative, and a good sense of humour
• Great communication skills
• To be reliable, punctual, honest and caring
• Proactive and 'can-do' attitude
