Job summary

Enliven Northern is a not-for-profit charity providing health and social services. We are looking for a Support Worker to visit clients in their homes, helping with personal cares, medication, meals and community activities while following individual care plans.

We value compassion, teamwork and high professional standards. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are available; this fixed-term role runs until the end of February 2027, in Auckland and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• New Zealand residency or eligible work visa.
• Full NZ driver’s license and reliable vehicle to visit clients.
• Clear English to read plans and communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with diverse people.
• High-quality standards and ability to follow professional policies and practices.
• Compassion for the elderly, disabled and those in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients in their homes to provide personal cares (showering, dressing) and support with medication.
• Assist with meal preparation, home help and community activities as per care plan.
• Keep up to date with and deliver support in line with the agreed care plan.

As an EnlivenSupport Worker, you will visit clients (elderly, disabled, individuals in recovery)in their homes to help them with a range ofpersonal cares (showering, dressing), issuing medication,meal preparation, home help, and assistance withcommunity activities. The care and support required will depend on the specific needs of the client. You will keep up to date with and deliver support in line with the agreed care plan.

Various hours are available across the week and weekends.

Please note this vacancy is for Fixed term until end of February 2027.

Requirements are below:

A New Zealand resident, citizen or have an eligible workvisa

A full New Zealand driver's licence and a reliable vehicle that you are prepared to drive to and between clients (We Can not accept International drivers licences)

Can accommodate flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Clear English language skills - able to read English instructions and plans and speak clearly in English to clients and colleagues

Strong customer service skills - are good at interacting with a wide range of people and enjoy helping people

High-quality standards and ability to adhere to professional standards, policiesand practices

Compassion for the elderly, disabled and those in recovery

Confident to visit a range of clients in their homes and provide them with a range of care and support
