HealthCare NZ is seeking a dedicated Support Worker based in Alexandra to assist clients in their homes and community. The role requires flexibility with travel and may include early morning shifts such as Wednesday from 8:00 am – 9:00 am.

You will help clients achieve independence through practical and emotional support, following care plans that cover tasks like meal prep, outings, personal cares, and medication administration.

What does a Support Worker do?

As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

• Meal preparation
• Community outings and integration
• Giving medication
• Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
• Home management
