Job summary

P&F Global is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Operations Manager to lead the newly integrated function. You will drive end-to-end supply chain activities from procurement to customer delivery, reporting to the Managing Director and leading a multi-site team across Auckland and Invercargill.

Regular travel to other locations is expected. You will oversee procurement, inventory, freight, warehousing and distribution, while championing continuous improvement and the use of data and AI tools.

About the role

P&F Global is looking for an experienced Supply Chain & Operations Manager to lead the newly integrated Supply Chain & Operations function. This is a key senior leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for how product moves through the business — from procurement and supply planning through inventory, freight, warehousing and distribution to customer delivery. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead an experienced team including the Procurement & Supply Planning Specialist, Logistics Specialist, Operations Administrator and Branch Distribution Managers. You will provide overarching leadership, direction and accountability for Operations across the business, including oversight of third-party logistics providers. This role offers the flexibility to be based at either our Auckland or our Invercargill site, depending on the successful candidate’s preferred location. Regular travel to other P&F Global locations will be an important part of the role, enabling you to stay connected with our teams and operations across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership across the full Supply Chain & Operations function, including leading and developing an integrated Supply Chain & Operations strategy and translating it into clear priorities and measures
• Provide leadership and governance across Procurement, supplier performance and key supplier relationships
• Own inventory strategy and supply-planning governance, balancing product availability, working capital and stock risk
• Provide overall leadership of the Operations function, supporting and leading Branch Distribution Managers to deliver safe, efficient and consistent operational performance across Auckland and Invercargill sites
• Oversee the performance of 3PL partners and ensure effective stock control, warehousing and distribution practices across the network
• Lead domestic and international freight and logistics performance, ensuring reliable, cost-effective and timely movement of product to customers
• Build strong, capable and accountable teams across multiple locations
• Drive continuous improvement, standardisation and smarter use of systems, data, digital and AI tools
• Champion health, safety and operational compliance
• Manage budgets, operational expenditure and investment within agreed authorities

About you

• Demonstrated leadership experience across multiple areas of Supply Chain and Operations, ideally within a product, distribution, import or wholesale environment
• Experience leading managers and geographically dispersed teams
• Sound knowledge and experience across the key elements of Supply Chain and Operations, with the ability to lead, challenge and make informed decisions across procurement, inventory and supply planning, freight, warehousing and distribution
• Sound commercial and financial judgement, with the ability to balance service, cost, cash, risk and long-term value
• Ability to use operational and financial data to identify issues and turn insight into action
• Strong planning, problem-solving, change and continuous-improvement capability
• Confidence working with ERP systems and using technology to improve how work gets done
• Strong communication and influencing skills across different functions and levels of a business
• A highly collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships across functions and bring people together around shared priorities and outcomes
• A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent practical experience
