Job summary

Lagardère Travel Retail is seeking a Supply & Demand Planner in New Zealand to forecast demand, optimise inventory, and align supply chain activities with retail operations. You’ll collaborate with Buying, Operations, Finance, and external partners to improve availability while minimising waste and costs.

The role requires strong planning skills, experience with SAP/RELEX, and comfort working across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced travel retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define optimal balance between store service rate and stock coverage, monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Build SKU-level demand forecasts based on budget and market signals and assess accuracy.
  • Adhere to stock-coverage objectives and define means to achieve them.
  • Issue accurate POs to suppliers and track deliveries to final destination.
  • Update replenishment parameters in SAP and RELEX (lead time, order frequency).
  • Coordinate supply performance with Commercial team and monitor KPI-driven improvements.

Job Requirements
What you’ll do:

As the Supply and Demand Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time. You'll be responsible for forecasting demand, optimising inventory, and aligning supply chain activities to support our retail operations.

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders including Buying, Operations, and Finance, as well as external suppliers and logistics partners to drive accurate forecasting, streamline inventory, and improve availability — all while minimising waste and cost.

Job Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who will:
  • Define the optimal balance between service rate to stores and stock coverage: monitoring of service rates, on shelf availability, sales and out-of-stock analysis and implementation of specific corrective action plan with suppliers and operations.
  • Build a demand forecast, at SKU level, based on financial / commercial expectations (Budget) and assess its accuracy
  • Comply to the stock coverage objectives specific to his/her category and brand portfolio and define the means to achieve them
  • Issue accurate purchase orders to suppliers on a timely manner and track / insure supplier deliveries until agreed final destination.
  • Analyse and update replenishment parameters in global systems (SAP & RELEX): such as lead time, order frequency
  • Coordinate the supply performance of the brand portfolio with the Commercial team: monitor and oversee the quality of deliveries (physical vs. BL, days and times, etc.), as well as compliance with LTR New Zealand Logistics Charter
  • Drive and challenge vendors with the support of the Commercial team for an improved performance by producing an accurate set of KPIs

To be amazing in this role you will have a demonstrated ability to lead and direct interactions with logistics providers suppliers and category managers, gained in a similar role, ideally in a Beauty related industry. You will need to be solutions focused, familiar with the Microsoft suite of application and be able to manage deadlines and work well under pressure.
