Devereux Clayton & Partners in Auckland is recruiting a senior logistics leader to own the NZ operation, including warehouse activity, shipping, receiving and distribution, and managing 3PL relationships. You’ll monitor KPIs, drive practical improvements, and align with Sales and Supply on demand planning.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to the Country Manager and NZ commercial team, handling risks, promotions, and supply delays with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.
We’re working with a major global FMCG business that has created a new role to support their New Zealand operation. This position sits right alongside the Country Manager and commercial team, managing all aspects of logistics, supply chain flow, 3PL performance and day-to-day operational reliability across the NZ market.
It’s a role for someone who’s comfortable getting into the weeds - understanding the detail, spotting issues early, keeping freight moving, and making sure customers get what they need. But equally, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to the Country Manager and the key point of contact for the NZ commercial team and the wider regional supply hub. When something goes wrong, you’re the person who can assess the situation, explain what’s happening, and decide whether it needs escalation.
You’ll manage the end-to-end logistics operation across New Zealand - warehouse activity, shipping, receiving, distribution, and the relationships with carriers, freight partners and 3PL providers. You’ll keep an eye on KPIs, look for improvements, and make sure the basics run smoothly.
You’ll also support demand planning: nudging the commercial team on forecasting accuracy, coordinating inputs with the regional supply team, and flagging risks around promotions, new products or supply delays. When picks are missed, containers run late or weather disrupts shipping, you’ll be the one who works through the detail and keeps everyone aligned.
This is a newly created role with real ownership. You’ll run the NZ operation day-to-day, with support from a regional customer engagement specialist.
You’re experienced in FMCG logistics or supply chain and enjoy roles where you can own the detail but still influence the bigger picture. You’re confident managing suppliers, comfortable pushing back when needed, and good at keeping commercial teams grounded in operational reality. You like solving problems, improving processes and keeping things moving.
You bring:
A senior role with genuine ownership and visibility. You’ll be the go-to person for logistics and supply in New Zealand, working closely with the Country Manager and commercial team, with the chance to broaden into wider supply chain or commercial pathways over time. This is a newly created position with room to shape how the NZ operation runs.
