Job summary

LSNZ, a language school with campuses in Queenstown and Christchurch, seeks a friendly Student Services Administrator to support enrolments, admissions, accommodation and front-of-house at our Queenstown campus.

In a genuinely multicultural environment, you will process applications, coordinate homestays, manage records, liaise with agents, and assist with pastoral care. The role involves on-call after-hours student support and requires organised, solutions-focused teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working across cultures and with varying levels of English proficiency.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Customer service mindset — calm under pressure, solutions-focused.
  • Proficient with computer systems and administrative software.
  • Experience in international education, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for after-hours student support.

Responsibilities

  • Process applications, enrolments and enquiries through our systems and email.
  • Issue enrolment documentation accurately and on time.
  • Keep student and agent records accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate professionally with students and education agents on enrolments, bookings and general enquiries.
  • Coordinate student accommodation and homestay arrangements.
  • Support placements, arrivals, departures and accommodation changes.
  • Liaise with students and host families on accommodation matters.
  • Support pastoral care processes and student wellbeing.
  • Open the school each morning and get facilities ready for the day.
  • Run front-of-house: reception, phone calls, email enquiries.
  • Keep reception and common areas tidy and welcoming.
  • Elevate complex or sensitive matters to senior staff when needed.

We're looking for a Student Services Administrator to be the friendly face and organisational backbone of our campus, the person who makes sure every student's journey, from enrolment to graduation, runs smoothly.

What you'll be doing
Student Services & Admissions
  • Process applications, enrolments and enquiries through our systems and email
  • Issue enrolment documentation accurately and on time
  • Keep student and agent records accurate and up to date
  • Communicate professionally with students and education agents on enrolments, bookings and general enquiries
Accommodation & Homestay Coordination
  • Coordinate student accommodation and homestay arrangements
  • Support placements, arrivals, departures and accommodation changes
  • Liaise with students and host families on accommodation matters
  • Support pastoral care processes and student wellbeing
  • Work in line with the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students
  • Handle student information with confidentiality and professionalism
Reception & General Duties
  • Run front-of-house: reception, phone calls, email enquiries
  • Keep reception and common areas tidy and welcoming
  • Open the school each morning and get facilities ready for the day
  • Know when to elevate, flag complex or sensitive matters to senior staff
