Job summary

The New Zealand Customs Service in Auckland is seeking a Training Advisor to design, deliver, and govern core operational training programs. Based at the Auckland Air Cargo Inspection Facility, this full-time role supports the training lifecycle across analysis, design, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts and supervisors to ensure national consistency, provide coaching and quality assurance for frontline trainers, and help develop

Responsibilities

• Contribute to learning and development strategy and policy using a systems/continuous improvement view.
• Develop learning needs analyses with stakeholders and design aligned solutions.
• Plan and schedule learning events and deliver effective courses.
• Lead or independently manage key learning and development projects.
• Support QA processes including assessment, moderation and evaluation cycles.
• Advise Operations leadership on training capability and workforce readiness.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and course facilitators to review and develop training.
