Placements24 is seeking an experienced Telecom Operations Manager to oversee network operations in Queenstown. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, manage budgets, and drive service quality and security across the telecommunications infrastructure.

This senior role requires strong leadership, ITIL knowledge, and a track record of improving performance metrics in a regional hub. You will collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure reliable service delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in telecommunications operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including core, access, and transport layers.
• Proven experience in managing operational teams and driving performance metrics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and IT service management best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers, technicians, and support staff.
• Oversee the daily operations of the telecommunications network, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments, including engineering, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Implement and manage incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
